cargo.one launches five new AI tools to accelerate freight forwarder workflows

The platform’s October release introduces a suite of artificial intelligence (AI)-powered features, including quoting automation, tender rate data downloads, centralized rate management, and customer-specific pricing profiles.
Air cargo booking platform cargo.one has unveiled five new AI-driven tools designed to optimize the workflows of freight forwarders.
These tools aim to enhance quoting, multi-lane tender rate procurement, centralized rate management, automated customer pricing, and real-time quoting analytics.
The “AI Powered Quoting” feature delivers complete customer quotes aligned with rate preferences typically chosen by human operators. For high-value tenders, the “Tender Feeder” enables rate data downloads for multi-lane tenders in a single export, reducing what traditionally required several days and cross-functional coordination to just minutes.
Meanwhile, the “Rate Engine” consolidates management of buy rates, internal rates, and sell rates within a single interface, while “Sales Profiles” automatically generate sell rates per customer or group, ensuring consistent pricing strategies across teams.
Finally, “Quoting Insights” provides real-time analytics on conversion rates, response times, and performance by customer or route.
According to cargo.one, the October release arrives during the airfreight industry’s busy peak season. The company noted:
“Peak season creates a universal challenge for freight forwarders: volumes spike, customers demand faster responses, and operational inefficiencies become more costly. Traditional, paper-based workflows force teams to choose which opportunities to pursue or turn away business they lack capacity for.”
Christopher Ziller, operations manager for airfreight at QCS-Quick Cargo Service and a cargo.one user, said:
“cargo.one’s AI quotes are spot-on — we rarely need to make changes, saving significant time while maintaining full control over customer communication. This allows our team to focus on complex shipments and higher-value business development.”
Moritz Claussen, founder and co-chief executive officer of cargo.one, added:
“We continue to invest heavily in AI automation, but also in the foundation that enables AI to deliver real value. The October Release reflects our philosophy: advanced tools are only as good as the data behind them. By building upon our industry-leading rate database, we deliver capabilities no one else can match.”
Earlier this year, the booking platform also launched a series of AI-based upgrades aimed at further accelerating the quoting process for freight forwarders.
